Felt washer?

Just wandering ive got the flywheel off too do the spigot bearing on my 2.1dj engine and app box and can't seem too see a place for the felt washer too go?

having spoken to the OP it sounds like the flywheel has been machined to allow the only currently available or some specially made or other thrust washers to be used to set the end float on his rebuilt engine, he was going to talk to the engine builders for clarification hopefully he will post up once he knows more, the flywheel is genuine VW

And on further inspection of the face it's got loads of small cracks in it and looks like it's been getting really hot with all the black patches so I think it's time for a new one! Image

there is a spacer that pushes in to hold the felt washer, it's missing, had me fooled before
