Snapped steering lock

Post by mattykimbo »

Some little scrotes tried to nick the camper last night. My neighbour caught 3 of them swinging on the steering wheel like monkeys and the have snapped the lock. Luckily they scarpered but now I'm left with repairs to do!

What part do I need to replace? I looked on eBay and found this but not sure if it's right thing? Item 182408626074

Thanks for help

Matt

Sort to hear that, good neighbour you got there. Time to wire in a kill switch?

Just order what you need, take the cowling off and you'll see what needs replacing. I'm guessing all the busted parts should have the VAG Alphanumeric code on them. If not try this site.

They'd of been lucky even if they werent disturbed, it has a flat battery, is an auto so cant bump start it and has 2 wheel clamps on which im not sure they noticed!

Neighbour used to work for autoglass so has temporarily fixed my window with perspex, its just the steering lock that i need to sort now but wasnt sure on part needed
