Headlight buzzer unreliable...

Post by RogerT »

Didn't want to hijack the other recent thread, but...

I got the 99 thing for my wipers to, and the bleeding headlight buzzer doesn't work every time. Totally frustrating!! It does buzz if I flip the wiper when the lights are on and ignition off, and occasionally if I don't flip the wiper.

Any wiring geniuses able to help me out?

Not seen it the electrical schematics but I guess it should buzz when the doors are opened. If so I'd check the door switches Inc any on sliding door and tailgate.

I probably need to spend a while with a wiring diagram, and find out how to create a bridge that fools the buzzer into thinking the wipers are on, without the wipers actually being on (if you know what I mean). My buzzer ALWAYS buzzes when the ignition is off, the lights are on and the wiper switch is activated.

Did you remember to remove the white pin from your wiper stalk,as you wont get variable intermittent wipers if you didn't..

No white pin, I already had intermittent wipers... off work over Easter so might have time to peruse the wiring diagram...
