Didn't see the width size so maybe 315 won't fit. Fidden, 3 weeks.. got your Kayak?

Not sure if mine is completely knackered just yet. I've had it a couple of years but I let it go flat for a couple of months. I removed it & fully recharged it. It's gone from 13.8V to 12.9V in about 8 hours. I'll see where it is tomorrow. If memory serves me, if it drops to 11.7ish in a couple of days then it's shot.

Sounds ok.
as long as it's not connected to anything it should stay above 12.6 (90%) for days.
Strictly you should put a load on it and see how long it takes to drop to 12v (50%) but that's not really nessesary.

I've contributed quite heavily to the WIKI battery section and the stated 310W X 185H X 175Depth mm are my own measurements...However, if you read on you will see that I have managed (as have others) to fit a Type 110 starter battery which happens to be 315mm wide. All I can say is that its absolutely like a glove and any slight variation in battery case molding shape may or may not allow fitment, I was lucky.
Another Note* I am sure you are aware that the claimed 90ah status of the second battery is a false one when the correct type rating is applied..look in the spec, its actually an 80ah so given that fact, it seems quite expensive for what it is.. just an observation.

Batteries sit at 12.6 forever if not used.
As said how fast it comes down to that after charging is not an issue.

It took about 4 days to gradually go down to 12.8 so I'm guessing it's ok. It's back in the van now so we'll see. It's the bloody gps tracker that drains it. Keep forgetting to turn it off.
