Changing camshaft Jx
Hi all hope you can help, I have a spare Jx head that I may need to use however the cam has been removed all the valve etc are still there just not cam I then have another had that had timing belt failure but the cam is good. My question is can a swap the cam over if so what's involved. Thanks

Swapping the cam over from head to head is easy enough, just observe the correct tightening torque and sequence of the bearing caps.
You'll also need to check and adjust the tapper clearance after the swap.

A fresh camshaft oil seal should also be used.

What he said ^^^^^^^^^ camshaft bearing caps refitted in the correct order and orientation. Tappet clearances will need re-setting 0.2 to 0.3mm inlet and 0.4 to 0.5mm exhaust.
I have all the tools and shims for this..how far are you from Nottingham? lol, you are welcome. However, tappet clearance must be done.
