Westy interior

Post by flying haggis »

Hi folks, I'm looking for plans for a westy interior for my van, it's a RHD so a 2nd hand one is out, I remember finding them some where but can't find them again.
Also has anyone fitted one of those MDF ones from eBay, they look ok but I'm not convinced?

If you do come across those plans, post them up on here - that question gets asked many a time. Not sure that they actually exist...
As for MDF, it's heavy and absorbs water, and doesn't repair very easily (like if you pull a screw out, for example). But it is cheap, and you can buy it ready-cut.

MDF is heavy. I'd go for plywood and you can bend it after steaming.

Forgive my ignorance on all things westy, but did they only do left hookers?
I have a RHD van conversion with what was obviously a second hand interior at the time of the conversion.
It's looking pretty tired now but looks like a westy from a T2 and has a westy plate on the under bed facia.
Maybe you could do the same.

You could probably use Bens drawings left or right side?

Basically i just drew up a LHD interior and flipped it.
