Ramps good bet in my book. Need proper rating for our big heavy beasts.

Living on a slight hill and having a sloping drive I tend to find it safer to use ramps than Axle stands except when just one wheel is off the ground. I don't think people realize how little spanner wrenching it takes to bring the center of gravity outside those three legs especially on a slope!

I keep a couple of strips of perforated rubber matting to place under the ramps to prevent them from being violently ejected when driving onto them. Once safely on them I drop wooden wedges in to the cross bars to stop the wheels from rolling.

I guess I have a bit of a safety OCD
