Hello all I've fitted a recon gearbox and new clutch to my 1.6td jx, the biting point feels like it's higher than it was with the old clutch, the clutch feels like it's working fine, I've bled it but could there still be air in the system?
It's biting around three quarters the way up from the floor where as the old one seemed to hit biting point at around half way or a little further than half way.
Any advice would be appreciated,
Rob.

Re: New clutch biting point high.
If it's bled properly I wouldn't worry, will take time to bed in & new clutches always feel different at first. I'd give it some time yet.

Cheers, I'll give it a week or two and see how it feels.
