coolant leak

Post by Smosh »

Morning all,

A hole appeared in the metal coolant pipe below the alternator yesterday. I just about made home with some skilled coasting.

Can anyone tell me which part this is on BW or other? I couldn't select it on heritage.

Its the early coolant system I believe. 1.9 DG.

Thanks,

Josh

Evening Smosh

I have a late cooling system, but to me it looks like number 27 in the diagram - hard to tell from pics, but looks to be top pipe leaking.?
I couldn't find that one on BW.

If it is number 29, then it would be this one I think, although they are out of stock:

27 is the lower pipe with a join to a short rubber section. The top pipe is 29.

Don't bother buying anything but stainless steel for metal WBX engine pipes, steel rust far to quick, stainless is not much more.
