They are very easy to do (I don't have any sliding windows), saves you a bit of dosh, having to pay someone to do them for you!

Cost me £30. The sliding door was the easiest to be fair. It was the tailgate that i had three goes on (a bit of a mare with the cupboard in the way at the back). Me and the missus did it and i reckon it dont look too bad.

Obviously if you can take the windows out you will do the best job.

Rob, there was a club member from the north east of England who had a window tinting business. He said he could either do the tinting or supply the stuff for D.I.Y. He gave advice to various people on the forum. Remember, not all tinting film is the same thickness/quality.

The thing is, who is/was he? Is he still a member? You could try doing a search under 'window tinting' in Technical, General Chat & Campers. :)

Rob, did a search & found the club member who does tinting. :)

His username is 'yan' & he owns a tintshop in Alston, Northumberland. See thread started by by Ringo - 'How much for windwow tinting' on Wed.9th August 2006. Page 2 - post by yan on Wed.23rd August.

yan says that anyone can pm him for advice. Hope that helps. :)
