Cab Floor / Seat box soundproofing and carpet

What have people done for soundproofing and finishing off their cabs floors and seat boxes? Mine is bare metal at the minute... :ok

It's very much a question of personal preference I think.

My van has the original Autosleeper carpet, which is in fair nick. I have some loose washable thin carpet mats, which you can get from factory shops, Tescos etc. etc. very cheap. These are laid on the carpet and take the worst of dirt and mud, and can be washed in the washing machine. If they get really bad, just chuck them away and replace.

Others I have seen have laid linoleum type flooring, presumably on thin ply. I have also seen laminate flooring.

I wouldn't worry too much about sound proofing. It will be nominal compared to engine, road and wind noises.

I've been thinking about this recently too - I've just got full rubber mat kit at the moment (don't know if it's OEM or a kit, sorry), but was thinking of replacing it with something a bit more substantial.

On an old Defender I had, I used a Sound Killer kit from these guys, and it worked well. They do a Campervan kit, but it looks like it's Bay specific rather than T25 - May be worth dropping them a line and see if they do a T25 kit, or can provide matting to cut-to-size.

Not the cheapest stuff in the world, but worked well and was fairly easy to fit (very sticky backed onto bare metal). I then put a cheapo mat kit ontop :)

Hope that helps,
Cheers,
Ben.

I used Silentcoat for deadening and the Kiravan self adhesive insulation over the top of that.

Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Cab Floors, I bought some underlay from http://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's rippled on its base to match cab floor perfectly
