No tail light and no side light LHS

Post by Sir Brixalot »

I've checked fuses 7 and 8 and they are fine and in tight. I've put new bulbs in the tail and side light - nothing. The light switch was only a couple of months old but I've had new parts fail before so I swapped in a new one. Lights still not working. I checked the earth in the engine bay and cleaned it up.Fogs and reverse are fine.

I thought wiring problem but would that affect both front and rears?

Grey and black wire is only showing 0.07v. It must have broken somewhere, I removed a scotchlock that had fed a reverse camera.
Can I test the grey/black wire behind fuse box in multiplug e and how would I do it and thinking about it would that affect the front side light

The fuse is fine.

Is there an easy workund thanks for ideas

Do you have parking lights, ie indicators on when ignition off puts side/tail lights on?
If so if that still works it's probably the lighting switch, if it doesn't work then it's probably a wiring fault between the switch and the fuse board output - front and back lights wiring is separate after the fuse board.
