Compression test, hand cranking?
would a compression test on a cold engine give any worthwhile results? Thanks.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Re: Compression test, hand cranking?
I tried this on air-cooled and got nothing on one cylinder. Spent ages taking apart and rebuilding. Tappet had bled down and compression returned when I ran the engine out of desperation. I guess if you were sure tappets were bled you would get better results.

I do believe you've stated the obvious that I didn't.
