can any one advise me on the best wiper blades to purchase and where from as mine on my 1990 komet are noisy and just plainly crap

Go to Brickwerks, and order the 'extra size' pair. They are of different lengths (to each other, and to the originals) and so cover more of the windscreen.

Brickwerks are probably the best source of VW T25 (T3) supplies in the UK. Try them first for parts, before going anywhere else.

Why would you do that? Home Bargains do the best wiper blades I've ever tried (way better than Bosch ones) and half the price, Brickwerks ok for vw-specific but who orders wipers mail order?

thanks for your replies ,went for the brickworks option and while there ordered myself a griddle P&P was bit over the top i think ,but being a lazy sod just ordered them anyway

I do, but then I am stupid enough to live 2 hours from my nearest Home Bargains...

I remember reading once on here that someone had ordered ONE brake pipe mail order. Escapes me - any local garage could have made one up in minutes for a couple of quid. Barmy.

I suppose if you live in the sticks, or you're not in a hurry, don't mind the postage and its part of a bigger order, no harm in it, but sundry items like washer blades, valve caps, the odd brake pipe and even oil, best sourced locally. Plus you've got it in your hand and no hassles sending back (often at your own cost) if an item has a fault.

During the day I work one-to-one with people who struggle to make ends meet and its amazing the decisions people make when it comes to parting with their money. Often, once I've gone through it all, they actually have a surplus rather than a deficit.

Lots of people seem to have weekly shopping bills of £70 or more. Mine is £30 a week (for two of us) but I actually cook stuff instead of buying frozen boxes out of a freezer. In fact I've rarely cooked the same meal twice. My lad is as sharp as me on prices and we eat well. Lol.
