mystery light bulb!

Post by Mr Bean »

When I had finished installing a reversing camera system among the jumble of wires which live behind the removable panel under the heater controls of my 1988 Liesuredrive WBX I found a wire hanging out with a small pee lamp bulb at the end. It is too short to reach up to the consul over the steering column and the doesn't seem to be anywhere to plug it into. I have been wiggling switches etc., and haven't seen it light up so far.
Any ideas?

Is it the light for the heater control panel, it just plugs in a raised hole.

Thanks for that. I guess now I should find out the raised hole and why it doesn't light up. Continuity check on bulb first thing.
