Lucar connectors

Post by Ant-t »

I'm working on adding intermittent wipers to my early van, I've got pretty much everything apart from the extra Lucar connectors that fit into the wiper switch on the steering column. Can anyone tell me what size I need to get, they're pretty small

^WHS, but watch out as a lot of the 2.8mm contacts on the market don't hold securely in VW housings, as the tab is too near the end. The proper ones are TE/AMP Faston .110 series, one part number I found works OK is 160655-4.

PS. The above part is tin-plated brass. The original spec was phosphor-bronze, unplated, but AMP seem to have stopped making most of these.
