Hi guys,
I used to stick all my surfboards inside the hightop space with a home made roof rack, but with the birth of our daughter and that space now being used for her, they need to be re-located to outside!
I've trawled the net and tried to find a solution in roof racks for a hightop but I'm at a bit of a loss. Someone one here suggested the Thule 420 feet, with the 423 extensions. However, I can't seem to see the extensions available in the uk on any site?
I found these:
http://www.car-roofracks.co.uk/thule-foot-packs/420.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Which says they are extendable to 79 cm height. Does this read correct to you?
What does everyone else use?
Needed for the weekend of the 24th Sept!
Basically, my ideal setup would be the bottom two images on this page:

Re: Hightop roof rack
Hi
I use one that came off our old works 2006 med roof Tra***t, the one with the gutter 300mm or so below the roof top. It just clears, although my Karisma roof is not as high as some. I think its a Paddy Hopkirk rack, I will look in the morning as it is hanging in the shed.

Re: Hightop roof rack
Thanks mate. I actually just took ownership this evening of what I think is the last set of Thule 423 extension poles for the racks, so I'm sorted now. Surprised there is nothing else on the market!

Re: Hightop roof rack
For future reference for anyone it is a Paddy Hopkirk rack, and measures 645mm from gutter feet to under side of the cross bar
