AHU replacement engine, HELP needed!

Post by thelyonsfamily »

So, we have had to replace our original 1985 1.6 turbo diesel engine after it had done over 200,000 miles.... got an Audi 1.9 TDi engine AHU code from a local breakers yard, all installed but not good - does anyone know if it is possible to run it without an ECU? Or what wiring would we need? Any help appreciated, been off the road for 6 months and missing it :( Thanks in advance :)

Some folk replace the electric TDI injection pump with a mechanical one, the Rover 200 or 300 Tdi pump is a popular choice I think. There'll be info on here, search for 'mtdi'.
Syncrosport (taking a break as of summer 2024)
Volkswagen Transporter, reloaded.
