New clutch, now can't select gears. Help please
Hi all just changed clutch yesterday and got everything back together now I can't select any gears. 1.9 Aaz with new clutch kit from brickwerks, replaced spigot bearing throw out bearing spigot shaft seal. 1.6d (cs)flywheel. When engine off I can select all gears fine, but won't go in when idling, I can start engine in gear with clutch depressed and let it out and I've got drive. I didn't disconnect slave cylinder just took it off so can only think the problem is inside. Any help/ ideas greatly appreciated as this is the first time I've done this-on the drive under the van so really want to exhaust all options before taking it all back off. Many thank

Check the socket end of the slave cylinder rod is there and not excessively worn. I had exactly those symptoms on a customer van, and the rod end cup was missing. I improvised one from a drilled out nut and some heat-formable magic plastic. Had a perfect operation once done, so the slave rod length is critical.

Hello all thanks for replys, I managed to get it sorted and all is running great, have no idea what problem was as I took every thing off/apart and re-assembled and all was right? So a happy ending and a bit more experience in the bank.
