Leisure battery polarity

Quick question - I stupidly did not pay attention when taking out my leisure battery and on refitting am plagued with doubts as to which way in it should be - I have assumed I still keep the negative earth. I only vaguely understand leccy and series and parallel concepts and try to steer clear but don't want to melt electrics as we set off .......

Yes negative earth.
