Evening, mine looked a bit like that, got it replaced a couple of weeks ago. The top hat was completely goosed and the base was curled up and crispy. Only realised when I was getting a springy boinging noise as I drove it.
A couple of whacks with a chisel and it came off, no rot on the trailing arm.

Does the spring plate need spot welding down to the tiling arm? Or is that just when it's rotten through?
I think spot welded yes.
Here's a before and after of mine. I stripped it, took it to be shot blasted, had the small holes welded up and a new spring plate welded on. treRated and painted. Then new bushes. Looks good as new.
