trouble starting engine

Hi Can anybody give me some advice this is doing my head in.Van will turn over great but won't start, it will start if i connect leads from positive on battery to first glow plug fires fist time but won't start of its own accord.

Sound like the glow plugs are not getting power first check is the 50a strip fuse in the black box

thanks for reply but 50amp fuse ok put new cable from glow plug to push switch on dash just wondering if using right cable

Would it not be easier just to sort the problem with the original glow plug wiring there really is nothing to it the relay controls if and after that it's power to relay and out of relay to glow plugs
