Bumper mountings

Post by Mickandsej »

I'm changing my 1990 from big bumper to metal. My Haynes manual doesn't cover big bumpers, do I need to source hangers etc? I'll be fitting a towbar later on, should I do it at that time? I've observed there are two different towbar fittings one for each style, but after downloading the instructions for both types and can't decifer if they include bumper brackets.
Help appreciated thank you, also can anyone tell me how to remove the door pods safely?

The towbar slides into the chassis rails and bolts on with six bolts underneath. The towbar should have brackets for the bumper already on it.

And if you have a certain fitment of rear mudflaps then the chassis fixings have to be removed before day the westie turner will fit ,and............ If you get a wedgie fisher the steel bumper fits to it and no need fir the irons
