Electric mirrors

Hi can u modifi electric mirrors so that lhd ones will fit on the rhd if so how do u do it please

I understand that the only difference between LHD and RHD is the position of the detent in the door mounted foot.
If you remove the mirror and unbolt the body on both you will see it.
IIRC it is a matter of putting a new drill dimple in each foot, copying left to right and vice versa.

Wont work if you switch the mounts? left to right?

Dont know! I have an odd "pair" of lhd ones (I think...) so I could compare them to the rhd bus.

You can remove the detent casting but then the mirror would wander. There must be a way of making another detent, I know my friend Steve did exactly this with his.
