hi all need to change me engine at i have got a 1.6 jx td mated to a 1.7 d gearbox really not sure what way to go petrol or diesel suppose if I change fuel type I will need to change fuel tank ? not bothered about performance or mpg ,the cost is always the problem i have read loads on the site just cant seem to decide what way to go :ok

If cost is your biggest hurdle then the cheapest way is the 1y with the jx manifold, turbo, exhaust and fuel pump find an aaz inlet manifold to make it easy.
You should easily find a 1y engined car for a couple of hundred ad to that £100 for gaskets, filters and fluids and a good weekends work and you should be on the road again.

cheers went for agg lots more about cheap now the fun begins changed a t25 gearbox but that's about it :ok
