Hi
I have a 1989 T25 and the sliding door wont shut properly.
Sometimes it will latch in and other times not. Even when not latched properly the door stays shut and can be locked but is visibly proud of the main body when viewed from outside.
I have read the article on wiki but my lock does not look bent although there is a very small gap between the two jaws.
It seems to be all greased up and moving freely.
Any advice gratefully received.
thanks

Re: sliding door wont shut properly
Chapter 11-9 in the Haynes gives a very comprehensive procedure to adjust the slider.
Have you tried following the instruction?

There are three points of adjustment, and it should be fairly easy to get the slider to shut.
When new door seals are fitted usually you end up juggling the adjustment points.

The mechanism needs a light grease lubricant, not 'axle grease'.
I have the same problem, and short of taking it all apart, I am gradually improving it with WD40 followed by smearing with a little lithium based grease. It's better, but not perfect. The warm weather helps.
