Floor replacement

Post by JonathanR »

I'm replacing my woodchip floor with 10mm marine ply. The old floor was screwed to van floor although one part by two front seats was glued down - very hard to remove. I will try to locate all the existing screw holes rather than add more. Or is it OK to just to glue and if so what should I use.
I have read threads where people add insulation such as as bubble wrap, foam etc. Any recommendations or "not bother". I cant have anything too thick as it will interfere with the original height of cabinets to window moulding. I have made a note of the insulation recommendations in https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=151666" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I assume that if I add a layer of insulation I will have to screw rather than glue.
None of the holes - taking the table base, the heater and water pipes were treated or grommeted. Whats the best way to seal the holes? Tigerseal?
I'm replacing the carpet with some vinyl.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
thanks
