1986 Caravelle twin square headlights...
Currenlly i have no High or dipped beam nor properly working front side lights, rear lights/brake lights are fine.
With the ignition on and the light switch off, the highbeam LED instrument light comes and stays on even when i pull on the high beam stalk, the LED flickers but still remains on. Also the rear fog comes on when using the stalk.
Another odd ball thing is when i put the lightswitch on to sidelights they dont come on but will come on by switching the foglight switch. And when i put the light switch to the dipped position nothing happens nor when i try and flash them or turn the highbeam on .
Is there anyone out there with some advice......... so far i've changed the lightswitch and the highbeam stalk, checked all the fuses, lightbulbs and wire connections and earth points. Not sure what to do next.
Appreciate any help.........Cheers

its almost definately a earth issue, revisit the earth crown next to the fuse box...
also there is a inline plug and socket at the back of the fusebox that is often the cause of headlight issues
because the fog light is involved, have a good look at the earthing at the rear light cluster too

I'd echo what Mocki says. I had a load of spurious errors with my lighting and leisure battery when I first got my van. Lights dim, stereo rebooting when indicators used or lights switched on. All down to a bad earth.

You can get that effect if either earth or positive is inadequate. This is why I tend to double what might be deemed the correct rating. Much of the wiring on a T25 is barely adequate with the plethora of items we add these days.

I know the question was posted last month but i have just fixed a very similar fault by removing cleaning and replacing a few rusty crimps to the earth crown behind the fuse box.
cleaned a small amount of paint from the body at the crown screw hole as an extra way of getting a better earth, coated the lot in silicon grease first.
fixed it
