Thought some of you might be intersted to see how the The 'Project' is progressing... (at a slow pace).

Big thanks to Jen, Euan and TC for coming round b4 XMas and helping to refit my gearbox and engine in 45 mins

I'm afraid it's all turned into another case of 'just how far do you go?

Dave Futbus has been kept busy preparing my suspension components.....
All shot blasted/powder coated and waiting for new bearings/bushes.

Modified rear arms to allow greater choice of rubber :D :

Front uprights mod'd to take Futbus's brake conversion:

Oh and a nice little bit of 'Pop-tarting' to be done when the weather gets better.

So maybe sometime before the next millenium it might get on (shouldn't that be off?) the road and i can start having some fun..........

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape; If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Body work now finished

Post by sonic23 »

I got the call early last week to say my bus was ready - so I was up on the first flight to Edinburgh, on Friday, to pick it up.
Big thanks to the guys at SyncroNutz for all the hard work and giving my bus a quality makeover. I haven't stopped grinning yet!!!

It's gone from this:

To this:

Next on the todo list will be the interior - though it looks like the gearbox will have to come out again and go to Aidan for a rebuild.

I've already had it rebuilt last year, for £700, by a so called Bristol 'speciallist' as it was popping out of 4th. It's done no miles apart from the maiden voyage from Scotland, and as soon as I got on the motorway........it popped out of 4th!! Had to hold it 4th for the whole journey back to Bristol.......even so - I was still smiling the whole way though!

Unfortunatly the only thing i know for definate is that the so called spesialist has give us and others a 100% failure rate.
This is unfortunate espesialy considering that they have taken more than
£3000 of 4 of us.
