Sounds like an easy job. That's what I thought anyway.
I've got 2 issues when trying to do this:
1) the 3 pins on back of the badge only stick out of the holes about 3-4mm. Not enough for the clips to grab onto
2) even if I could sort out point 1, I can't find a way to get pliers or anything other than 2-3 fingers in that part of the inner tailgate.
Any tips/am I missing something amazingly obvious?
The so and so that stole my last badge is better be displaying it proudly in his/her bedroom.

Cut the tabs off and stick it on with something like numberplate double sided tape.

Re: Fitting tailgate badge - sounds simple?
I lost the pins to mine so used polyurethane sealant/adhesive - hasn't shifted!

The VW roundell? There's supposed to be 3 blue plastic grommets the badge pushes in to, not clips inside the tailgate.

But if you get stuck (no pun intended) just use numberplate/badge tape - that's what all the manufacturers use now anyway!
