i want to put a inline resistor on my collant line i got a 28 or 30 ohm one cant remeber which but need to ask is there a certain way round u need to fit them ???? also am i correct in thinkin it the sender thats fitted on the coolant rail??????

Doesn't matter which way round, won't make any difference. The sender for the guage is in the coolant manifold, the one with the spade connector. Personally I would use the 28 rather than 30ohm one, but try it and see.

the reason i cant remeber which one i got is when i got them from maplins the dont do a 28 ohm one only 27 or 30!! after speaking to a vehicle electrition he said it would litterally be about 2mm difference on the gauge?? but cheers for your help ill go warm the soldering iron up!!!
