Gear stick referb kit

Post by SpacemanSpiff »

Hi guys I'm trying to reduce the several miles of travel between my gear changes and was planning to fit a top end gear stick referb kit. I have posted on the Brighton T25 Facebook page to get some tips on fitting and there is some confusion as to if I will need to get under the van to adjust the linkage.

I have had a look at wiki and there is a post showing photos of a syncro gear shift referb that looked like it could be completed in cab.

Can anyone shed some light on this as I'm hoping to do the work tomorrow.

Link to the kit: http://www.justkampers.com/catalog/prod ... egory/233/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks

You can replace all of the top onion joint from inside the van. You cannot replace the bolt but I cannot see it wearing. You should not need to adjust the linkage as it will be the same as it is now.Do not grease it when fitting with any ordinary grease, if you have any use a silicon grease.

If you can't find any don't worry asseble dry you can always add it later as its easy to remove it from inside later and greasing it.

I'm not sure any further light could be shone on such a straightforward job. Everything you need to know is there:
