cross member replacement

cross member replacement

Going to replace the cross member at the swinging arms on my crew cab its a bit shot my mate said we've got to drop the engine and gear box out I can't see this to replace that, going to put on the ramps tomorrow to look he is a bmw man :rofl

He is correct. Its a big structural repair and the transmission is bolted to it. Everything out, rear suspension off.
Get it level and square before you start cutting!

Any update on this, is it possible to do it ? From what i can see once welds are removed it would drop down.
