Hi all..
I'm going to take my soggy old reimo interior out and use it as a template to make new out of pre laminated ply. Try as I might, I can't find out what tool is used to create the groove on the edge that the T-trim will slot into. I imagine it's some form of router, but the one I have would no way go small enough. Is this dremel territory?
I'll keep a photo journal of the work once I start!

It's router territory, have a look on Wealden Tool Company they stock a good range - for example http://www.wealdentool.com/acatalog/Onl ... r_913.html

OK, seems I need to just get a smaller set of router bits and a router with a smaller guide (which screwed have their own brand for £35).
I've ordered some samples of the wood and will start clearing the van soon. The next decision is keep with the rock n roll brackets and wood frame or go for one of these:

I believe the Westy trims require a 2.5mm groove - I'm not sure whether the Reimo trims are similar. This is thinner than most straight router cutters, and most table saw blades, but you can get slotter cutters for routers.
Trend are a good manufacturer that do various thicknesses of cutter - this is a 2.5mm cutter but they do cutters with kerf widths from 1.5mm up. Unfortunately with the thinner sizes of cutter you need to buy the arbor separately.
Take care if you not used a router before.

I've got some samples of pre laminated lightweight ply from Rainbow Conversions. I've not got a price yet, but I should be able to do the whole lot comfortably with 3 sheets, but may go down to 2 sheets and do the non visible bits like shelves and under the back section of bed with leftover ply I already have.
I've got to strip everything out to fit a Westfalia gas tank, so I'm looking at new floor too, as it currently has domestic laminate flooring in that probably weighs a ton!
