what's the speedo cable length?

Post by paulandchez »

Hi all

Can anyone tell me the length of a standard speedo cable for a 1980 petrol LHD please? I'm having a new one made up for some clocks I'm installing from an old Porsche and I need to make it a bit longer than the original....but I don't want to disturb the original until I have to :D

Can't find any references online.

thanks

Paul

I would never normally question you answers bigherb, as you're normally right....but can you confirm those are the speedo cables and not the accelerator cables?

Over 2 meters from steering wheel to wheel seems huge unless the route is so convoluted.....wait a min....it's a VW :D
