Doka refurb

Post by ssdt »

Anyone here used fibreglass doka treasure chest door skins from Brickwerks ,not doubting quality ,they say they are bonded on, do they replace existing skin ie ,removal of original and bonded to frame ,or over clad ,how s the finish around hinge area ? And generally how good are GRP panels etc when professionally sprayed up and adjacent to original bodywork.

That's a GRP wing against steel bodywork... Just as a reference for you..

I've no personal experience with the GRP locker doors, but as long as they're made correctly, then they'll be no problem at all

As above,, but often glass panals have light ripples in them though usually associated with thinner made ones

AFAIK there is only one supplier of the shells, unless they have started to getting a local to make them. The quality is (or was) outstanding, excellent finish. Once bonded to frame and painted you couldnt tell. Certainly didnt have to clag them up.

The OE skin is removed and then shell is bonded on. just make sure you use a proper panel bond rather than trying to stick them on with a sealer etc :ok

Email sales@brickwerks etc , they dont bite and sure they will give you full SP :ok
