1z Ahu TDI flat spot
My TDI conversion has a very obvious flat spot at 2600 rpm when under load ... Recently fitted a new ECU from SYNCROANDY as my original one was too old to connect to my SCANGAUGE ... Happens with both ecus ?? Any ideas guys ???? Runs perfectly, just when on a hill building power ( 3rd gear) As soon as it hits 2600 it feels like a limiter kicks in

Does it do the same without the tuning box?

Do you have a code reader? Might be going into limp mode.

No I don't ... Limp sounds a bit severe ... It just feels like a govner ... Just gently holding it back .lloydy wrote:Do you have a code reader? Might be going into limp mode.

Limp mode....
Feels good and then it feels like youve taken your foot off the gas.
Check your vacuum pipes for leaks

Re: 1z Ahu TDI flat spot
Air mass meter can cause flat spots and no fault code,a landrover friend cleaned his with brake cleaner which helped but not fixed his problem

Sorted .... Braided pipe from n75 to turbo valve was all degraded and soggy ..... Guess at high vac it collapsed??? Replaced with fuel hose and all seems to be well ....
