Hi.
Just got my first 1990 T25 Holdsworth camper. It's been running fine until today. It is struggling to start. When it does unless I keep the engine revving there is no power. I thought that the fuel gauge might be misreading so have put some more fuel in but it has made no difference. Does anyone have any ideas please?
Regards
Mike

Sometimes a dodgy diesel filter can cause air to be drawn in. Can you see any air bubbles in the pipe between the filter & pump?

Hi.
The pipes are difficult to view - but there seemed to be a few and quite a bit in the return pipe (I'm assuming that is what it is). Thanks for the info.

If you go to buy a new filter bear in mind there are a few different designs so either take a good pic of the old one or take it with you

And don't just buy one - buy two and carry a spare. I have had to change out one at the roadside - a lot easier if it on hand.

Re: 1.6 turbo Diesel engine.
Thanks for the advise. I think the gauge is faulty and it ran out of fuel and hence some air got in. Does anyone know if the system will self bleed or have I got to bleed it?

Re: 1.6 turbo Diesel engine.
There is no self bleed system, manual bleed by slightly undoing the fuel lines as they go into each injector.
You should get squirt of diesel out and there should be an engine note change when you nip the line back up.
