dash switches

Just got a heated rear window switch and noticed that little ID on the switch illuminates when the lights are switched on. The other switches ie lights and rear fog have these little ID 's on them but dont illuminate. Do they have little led's in them that are kaput or are there only some of these rocker switches that illuminate?

h/screen and fogs do this to let you know that that there on! easy!!

Yeah but both have little led's to let you know they are on but this one had the little decal thingy lit up even when off and the side lights are on so you can see where the switch is on the fascia. Maybe its from a very late vanagon - it came from USA
