Front indicator light

Post by crazyhorse »

Hi all,

quick question, the front left indicator on my 87 transporter started flickering quickly (you all know the noise). Had a look outside and it doesnt work at all.

Opened it up, it was sodden all the way through, esp on the connections. Looks like a DOA. Very rusty, and still wet. Dried it out, put a new bulb on... still doesnt work. So it looks like a need a new connector.

Question is, what part do I need, the one on it now has 2 pins, and another question is, when I put it back on, how do I make sure no water gets in, i can clearly see a gap between the body and the housing?? Is there a gasket or rubber protector I need.

Thanks for reading

Its a complete unit, available at reasonable cost from GSF. Just change it.
