Exhaust of Subaru EJ20 engine in 2wd T25

Post by mshaw1980 »

Hi everyone

Have the above engine from HDC SUBARU. Must say the quality of their engine removal was excellent. All looms removed properly, all bolts and parts boxed up and engine nicely wrapped on a crate.

Anyway I am buying all the parts required for the conversion from rjes except I cannot see a full exhaust system anywhere? I have the manifold from the Impreza the engine came out of but obviously it faces towards the front of the van instead of the rear. Also don't know if it would fit with the rjes engine mount if I cut and welded the exhaust flanges so that the manifold faces the rear of the van.

Any suggestions where I can get a full exhaust system?

Fanx

hi i have just done this conversion using a 2.5 na engine , i used the standard manifold & cut the manifold pipe about to put it where i wanted it , i put a flexi pipe in & used a toyota mr2 exhaust silencer off ebay cut off all brackets & tail pipes ) this fits nicely between engine & valance , took a fair bit of time but whole system owes me about £30 & sounds spot on & not too loud ImageImage

I used a Kennedy Engineering system from the states, cost about £600 all in but still needed some mods to the rjes engine bar plus a flex connector and some brackets making, I had a deadline to meet so this got me on the road quicker but the cost was a lot higher than zedds, really comes down to how handy you are with a welder.
