I've recently refurbed my 1.9 waterboxer carb[auto gearbox] can anyone tell me why the autochoke doesn't kick in when in i fire her up. Its a brand new one. did I have to reset it?

You'll have to give us some more details as to what you have done with your carb, and what parts you have replaced.
And the numbers off the thing will give us an idea of which one is fitted (there is couple to go at, you see )
