Where to buy oil presently..

Post by slowcoach »

Hi Guys-
the van is going in for an MOT this afternoon, i only just remembered a few hours ago and hurriedly checked, it runs out today! anyway, managed to get it into my usual place with little notice. Anyway, its given me a kick up the a*** to change the oil, which has been neglected somewhat in amongst all the other tinkering and house destruction.

Ive looked at GSF/eurocarparts/carparts4less/even lidl. does anyone know of anyone selling 15/40W mineral or semi at a good price right now?? dont really want to pay ~£30 !

cheers
john

Halfords are giving away a free set of 8 screwdrivers ( pro range ,usually £15 ) with any 5 litres of their own brand oil... I just bought 5 litres of 15/40 mineral for £19.99 . :ok

If its the so called pro screwdriver sets with the yellow and red tops? were always breaking the philips head ones at work, however Halfords do replace them.

I buy at least a year or so in advance when theres a good deal on (same with tyres). After all, you're going to have to spend sooner or later. Still got an unopened LIDL one in the wardrobe. Don't buy one, always but two.

I think you will find that all oils at Halfords are packaged in 4 litre bottles, not 5l.

Single Dad - the joys of. Most of my spare parts are in drawers under the bed. Better than fluff and arguably, a wife. :D

Must be different packs to the four that I have just had delivered then. I miss having that little bit left over after a change for top up purposes.
