Hi,
On my 1982, 1910cc watercooled van.
The Vacuum Advance on my Distributor has packed up.... Looking through my bits and bob's I have found an old Distributor with a good vacuum unit from an old air cooled van with points and condenser...
The question is.. Could I use this on my distributor??
Many Thanks
Chris

Re: Vacuum Advance Unit...
Yes probably but the fitting screws may be in a different position which will make it impossible. The length of the pullrod should also be the same. Theres only one way to find out

Great.. I was hoping that would be the only issue... The holes are now in and it's going back together..
Will let you know how it goes...
Thanks

There are so many different types. Secondhand ones can even originate from Beetles with single and double mounting screws. If it fitted and works, you're away.
