Advice on fitting 18 x 8.5J front wheels please

Post by Big Bear »

I'm looking at fitting some 8.5j wheels to my bus all round.

It's a specific wheel I'm looking at partly because I like them and partly because I haven't seen them fitted to a T25 before. Shh, they are a secret... but will be revealed in due course...

Smallest width they are available is 18 x 8.5J

I know its a fitment people say ooh err about but I know people have done it.

So... any pics of this size fitted and roughly what offset will be needed and suspension mods (upper control arm?) etc. I've searched high and low for info but can't find anything specific on the suspension mods.

In fact any helpful info will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks all!

Have you had a look at the wheel fitment thread over on the brickyard? The wheel your looking at might be on there?

Aha, the chart on Brick Yard is a good pace to start. Thank you.

Not sure how that works. Either you know people have fitted these wheels before or you don't - surely it can't be both.

To clarify. People have fitted 8.5J wheels but haven't seen this specific wheel fitted to a T25.

So general advice about fitting this width wheel is needed.
