Hi there! The sliding door on my '88 caravelle keeps popping open randomly. Straight roads, bumpy roads or moving slowly in traffic! There's obviously something needing adjusted but what?

I have the same problem.I adjusted the striker post latch but not upwards going to give it a try .

I also had this and it was the strikerpost it took me about an hour of moving then driving and repositioning but it did work in the end good luck.

have you tried just oiling the striker pin and lock with a bit of 3 in 1 oil worked for me.
