Daft Questions Re RM212 / Control Panel

Good evening,

3 months into ownership and loving it, off to Balquidder tomorrow.

After self servicing the fridge it works an absolute treat (actually colder than our house fridge). Couple of quick questions however.

1 - When lighting on gas should I keep the rocker switch in the down position when it is up and running (the manual only seems to refer to the push button type).

2 - When running on 12 volt (for travelling only) should the 'fridge' switch on the control panel be on - I know it sounds stupid but the above lighting procedure seems to work wether it is on or off and I had assumed the piezo electric needs 12 volt supply.

The ignition switch should be left on when running on gas - if the flame goes out eg gas runs out then it will start clicking/flashing and alert you.

On 12V fridge switch should be on - the piezo 12V supply is separate to the main supply.

The ignition switch should be left on when running on gas - if the flame goes out eg gas runs out then it will start clicking/flashing and alert you.

For completeness - the ignition switch also provides a 're-light' capability - if the fridge gas flame goes out (which can happen if it is windy outside - the flame is literally blown out) then the ignition circuit will start trying to relight the gas (which is the flashing/clicking sound) - if it is successful, then the clicking will stop and all is happy; if it fails then in a few seconds the gas supply will be cut off by the gas control valve - so everything is still safe but the ignition switch will continue to flash/click (as it doesn't know that the gas has been cut off)
