Alternator Belt

Post by Earlofdon »

Hi Folks,

My alternator and/or water pump belts are screeching like banshees!

I haven't anything to remove the bottom pulley unfortunately.

Is there a one belt conversion by any chance whereby the adjustment could be done at the alternator ?

Cheers

Belts and pump screech - alternators tend to rumble. You need to flip waterpump belt off and spin/rock waterpump pulley to test for wear. Need belt off to test it.

Yea, it starts squealing when I turn the lights etc on.

The two belt system seems a pain, I'd rather have one large one.
