Given the relative rarity where ever you get these disks from I'd imagine they are from the same source!
Diamond Hell
Still Syncro, just much fasterer

what's paranoid about my question?
Anyway, for any other paranoid souls out there,
they list 2 sizes for 16"
277x16 (which is shown as 92-)
and
280x15 (shown as 85-92)
ETKA reckons 277x16 is the right size, quick phone call to brakeparts, yes, 277x16 is the right one but 280x15 are shown as an option by their 'source'
I've gone for the 277's £50.97 all in, next day delivery. Musn't grumble

Just a term of endearment Andy, I'm sure...
You know those spell checkers that have 'Accept, Ignore, Add to Dictionary, Cancel' ? well, when Thomas replies, we all just select certain words and hit 'Add to Dictionary' so that they don't stick in your craw next time around... easy eh?
So now add Matt to your list
But you're right, a few are duffers, but as much as anything, here's a tip:-
When stopping after a long high speed or downhill braking session, waiting at say a set of lights, unless you need it, give em a minute to stop glowing with foot well off brake pedal, and for sake of drums, try not to whack handbrake on immediately, unless abs necessary - ditto effect.
Best is to finsish all your heavy braking early (start early) and come to rest with little pressure on pedal, so they've had a few revs and bit of wind to cool them down... Dunno, but might sometimes be the cause, the Syncro discs are thicker (16mm ?) than a lot of equiv. weight vehicles (Talbot Express
12mm) so should not warp easily..
From their website (which doesn't permit copying text, Ha ha!)
GSF were doing them for £15 or £12 with c80-90 discount until I had the last pair a year or so ago - they're on my Doka now, and so far so good. All discs that just slip over the studs and aren't an integral part of the bearing housing should be about this price, unless you want a cast iron guarantee - OK, My coats on, ready to run
Good one Matt, maybe the last chance saloon to stock up, ordering now (for Tyger, you never know, I might need them some day
)
Have you sorted Goldilocks then
Ready for the winter trials
Running on all 3, oops I meant 2

Clive it's a bus, not a high performance sports car and the brakes are a *little* over-engineered, dammit I'll bet you could drive around on them.
More to the point what are you on (about)?
