Can't get the two flathead screws on the end of the starter motor cap removed. Despite soaking in plus gas. Any help appreciated

Buggers aren't they, I had this problem. I used an impact screw driver with the largest flat bit you can buy, hit it with the hammer and the bit broke!! Resorted to applying gentle heat with a blow torch, that worked.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Yeah just keep trying, if all else fails vice grips are your friend.

Aye, vice (mole?) grips (good ones) and screwdriver if needed. They'll shift.
